Montclair Firefighters Put Out Blaze At Glen Ridge Home
Montclair public safety officials continue to probe the cause of a fire that damaged a home on Willow Street in Glen Ridge.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Montclair public safety officials continue to probe the cause of a fire that damaged a home on Willow Street in Glen Ridge, authorities said Tuesday.
The Montclair Fire Department – which provides service to Glen Ridge – got a call about a fire in the township at 8:42 p.m. on Sunday. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from underneath an enclosed porch.

Montclair firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, however, there was fire, heat and water damage to the property, authorities said.
The last unit cleared the scene at 10:08 p.m. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported, authorities said.

An investigation into the fire’s cause continues, authorities stated.
