Montclair Food Pantry Asks For Donations Ahead Of Thanksgiving

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Want to do a good deed for your neighbors in need? The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair says they need donations ahead of Thanksgiving – and they’re serving more people than ever before.

The food pantry, which also serves residents of nearby towns in Essex County, put out a message about their holiday wish list on Thursday:

“Thanksgiving is just two weeks away and we're serving more people than ever before! We need turkeys (frozen or fresh). We need boxed or bagged stuffing and instant mashed potatoes. We need canned gravy, cranberry sauce, yams, pie fillings and crusts, and foil roasting pans. Also, pies (fresh and frozen) and other desserts. We will be accepting donations every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and also on Friday, Nov. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.”

“We need your help in these difficult times as more people find themselves in need and come to us for assistance,” the nonprofit said. “Please think about donating to us as you shop for your family and help us make this holiday special for everyone!”
