Montclair Food Pantry Kicks Off Thanksgiving Donation Drive

The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair is talking turkey. Here's how to help their clients enjoy a happy holiday.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair has kicked off its 2019 Thanksgiving donation drive, the nonprofit announced Monday.

The food pantry’s staff posted the following message on social media:

“With Thanksgiving coming quickly, the food pantry is in full turkey mode! We are now collecting all Thanksgiving foods so we can provide our clients with all the makings of a holiday meal. We are collecting packaged stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, packaged gravy (NOT glass jars), cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, canned fruit and of course TURKEYS! (pie crusts, pie fillings and frozen pies would all be gratefully accepted as well!) Basically all the things you serve your family are what we try to provide to our families.”

Donations must be delivered to the pantry at 9 Label Street in Montclair no later than Saturday, Nov. 23. The pantry will be open for donations on the following days/times:

  • Its usual Tuesday and Thursdays between 8:30 am and noon
  • Friday, Nov. 22 from 8:30 am to 1 pm
  • Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8:30 am to 1 pm
  • Sunday, Nov. 24 from 8:30 am to 3 pm
