Montclair Food And Poetry Workshop Will Be A Tasty Event

During the two-week class, participants will explore the connection between food and poetry.

From Montclair Public Library: The Adult School of the Montclair Public Library will host a workshop entitled Food & Poetry: A Writing Experience led by Vanessa Young, poet and founder of Thirsty Radish (www.thirstyradish.com), on September 7 and 14, 2017 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Advance registration is required.Food has inspired writers throughout history.

During the two-week class, participants will explore the connection between food and poetry. They will delve into works that explore topics such as love, memory, and nature through the food experience. Prompts, tastings and discussions will be used to help participants create their own original works. No poetry writing experience is necessary.Tuition for the two-week class is $35 for non-members of The Adult School and free for members. Advance registration is required.
