Montclair Francophiles To Celebrate ‘French Week’ 2017

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Friday means “French Week” for Montclair area Francophiles.

From Friday, July 7 to July 14, Oui, Oui, Je Speak Franglais will partner with other local organizations to host French Week in Montclair, a series of bilingual and bicultural events. Many of the events are free and open to the public.

Some of the highlights of French Week include Bastille Day-themed arts and crafts for children, French cooking with Saliha Bala of On Dirait du Miel, food samplings from Choc O Pain Bakery, and FIAF's annual Bastille Day fête.

"I feel excited to have such a platform to bring Guinean drumming, dance and music to Montclair from the Francophone world for the first time," said Yalani Bangoura, creative director and co-founder of Kabangou Kibouland Dance Company.
