Montclair Fundraiser Will Raise Awareness For Foster Children
The 11th annual "Spin For A Child Fundraiser" will take place on Thursday, April 11 at D*Fit in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Essex County Inc. will bring awareness to the predicament of over 1,700 children in foster care throughout Essex County at the 11th annual “Spin For A Child Fundraiser” on Thursday, April 11 at D*Fit in Montclair.
According to a news release from organizers, the event is held in support of hundreds of children who deserve safe and loving permanent homes.
Two Ride 45 spin classes will be offered in addition to a Fluid Force boot camp work out class. A “Sip - N – Social” reception will follow. For each team registered, there is a fundraising goal of $500 and for each individual registered there is a fundraising goal of $200. Those who are unable to attend can participate by donating to a team or individually at www.fundly.com/spin2019.

“Spin for A Child is all about community engagement, health and wellness, and having our supporters help with the journey our CASA children take to a permanent home,” said Tamara Harris, executive director of CASA Essex County.
“Every dollar we raise during this event helps make that journey a little easier,” Harris said. “It’s all about community, it’s about the village.”

“CASA for Children of Essex County’s mission is to promote the welfare of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment by providing a safety net of support, advocacy, and mentorship. CASA trains and supervises volunteer advocates to speak up for the best interest of the child in court to ensure that each child receives the services needed to get them on the path to a safe and permanent home.”
