Montclair Haunted House Raises $10K For Local Food Pantries

The 2nd Philip McNeal "Haunt for the Hungry" fundraiser featured a pumpkin adventure and a vampires vs. werewolves haunted house.

The 2nd Annual Philip McNeal “Haunt for the Hungry” fundraiser knocked it out of the graveyard by raising $10,000 for local food pantries.

According to a release, the 2015 Haunt for the Hungry took place at two locations, each with its own theme and experience.

The “Moonlight Trail” was hosted by Van Dyk Healthcare of Montclair, and offered families a pumpkin adventure displayed around the grounds of Van Dyk Healthcare’s Montclair location.

In addition, a vampires vs. werewolves-themed haunted house was held at the home of Miguel and Susan Bermeo.

“As a family we are appreciative of the opportunity to contribute, but this event would not be possible without the countless volunteers who contribute so much time and effort,” Susan Bermeo stated.
