Montclair High School Creates Scholarship Honoring Journalist Clem Taylor

The annual scholarship will be awarded to a deserving journalism student at Montclair High School.

Friends of the late Adrian “Clem” Taylor have come together to create an annual scholarship honoring the journalist’s legacy.

The scholarship will be awarded each year to a deserving journalism student at Montclair High School, according to Baristanet.com.

Taylor lived in Montclair and was an award-winning journalist, having won a Peabody Award and eight Emmy Awards during his highly successful career, Baristanet said. Taylor spent nearly 20 years working for CBS News, including the last four years for 60 Minutes, and he also worked for ABC and NPR.

A tribute and fundraising event will be held in honor of Taylor at the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center on March 21, 2015, the one-year anniversary of Taylor’s passing at age 60 from pancreatic cancer.
