Montclair Home Burglarized While Owners Were On Vacation: Police

The thieves apparently made their way into the home through a window, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A burglary recently took place at a Montclair home while its owners were away on vacation, police announced Tuesday.

The Montclair Police Department released the following details about the burglary, which took place on Upper Mountain Avenue on Aug. 13:

“The residents reported that their home was burglarized while they were away on vacation. A window on the first floor of the home was discovered to be open and is the suspected point of entry.”

The thieves stole nearly $2,000 in cash, police said. No additional information was immediately available.
