Montclair, NJ – An accidental electrical malfunction may have caused a home fire on Wildwood Avenue in Montclair on Monday, authorities stated.
Firefighters arrived on the scene around 1:25 p.m. to find an electrical box burning inside the home’s dining room wall, Montclair Fire Department Deputy Chief Robert Duncan said.
Firefighters turned the home’s power supply off and extinguished the fire, opening the wall to ensure the flames were out after finding a small amount of extension, Duncan said.
