“Elsie first joined the Mountainside Medical Center team in early 2022 as manager of the Dialysis Unit, and later became the director of the department in March of 2023. During her time at Mountainside, she has had many accomplishments, including leading the dialysis team through successful regulatory surveys, increasing care plan completion, developing quality assurance and performance improvement tools used to create and review action plans, among many other achievements. Elsie maintains her Certified Nephrology Nurse certification, was appointed to the medical review board of the Quality Insights Network and was involved in a medical mission for undocumented and uninsured citizens.”

“Elsie is a kind, and caring leader who focuses on the positive in every situation,” shared Karen Palatella, vice president of risk and compliance at Mountainside Medical Center.
