Montclair HS Ranks Among 100 ‘Best High Schools’ In NJ: Report
Montclair High School rated among the 100 best in N.J. on U.S. News & World Report's 2019 list. See where it ranked nationally.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair High School is among the top 100 institutions in New Jersey, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2019 rankings of "best high schools."
Montclair High School was the 83rd-highest-ranked institution in the Garden State, U.S. News & World Report stated. (See the full state list here)
Nationwide, MHS placed at #1918 among more than 20,500 public high schools. To reach its conclusions, the study compared factors such as “college readiness,” reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance; underserved student performance; college curriculum breadth; and graduation rates.

“By evaluating more schools than ever before, the new edition expands that focus so all communities can see which schools in their area are successfully serving their students — including historically underserved populations,” said Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News.
