“Due to a shipping error, several hundred caps and gowns did not arrive in time for the Montclair High School graduation, which is scheduled for June 28. If you have any used caps and gowns that you are willing to donate, please drop them off at the front porch of 165 Midland Avenue (just a few houses north of the high school).”

Later that morning, officials released an update:

"The Montclair High School has sufficient caps and gowns for graduation. Please disregard the previous message sent by the town. The information was not correct. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused."

According to a recent weekly update from district administrators, graduation caps and gowns were scheduled to be distributed from June 22 to June 24 for the Class of 2022.
