There is a strong Montclair influence throughout the successful Montclair Kimberley Academy girls lacrosse program as the Cougars look to be a big factor in both the Essex County Tournament and NJSIAA Non-Public state tourney.
One of the key performers is junior Bebe Scuorzo, an energizing force, who entered recent action with 28 goals and 14 assists for the 6-4 Cougar laxladies. She also has 21 ground balls and has won 39 draw controls.
One of the veteran defenders is senior Julia Flocco, while a youngster on the rise is freshman Emma Ross.

The powerful Montclair influence is certainly impactful with the team's senior tri-captains, twins Shea and Maggie Murphy, who are standouts at midfield, and goalie Ella Freeman, who is set to play next year at the University of Chicago.
MKA,, which defeated crosstown neighbor Montclair High, 14-6, in regular season play on April 14, also defeated neighboring Verona, 14-4, on Friday, April 24.
