Montclair Jazz Festival - Call for Volunteers

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEER

Are you looking for a fun and exciting way to spend you day?

Do you have a desire to give back to your community while celebrating the arts?

Come join us at the 2016 Montclair Jazz Festival!

The Montclair Jazz Festival (www.montclairjazzfestival.org), produced by the nationally acclaimed Jazz House Kids, has grown from a small community event to a major cultural offering attracting a wide audience from across the region. The 2016 Montclair Jazz Festival is expected to attract approximately 10,000 people for a full day of festivities!

The 7th annual festival will be held on August 13, 2016 at Montclair's Nishuane Park from 12pm-9pm. We are looking for volunteers to assist with park setup and breakdown, festival hospitality, artist and vendor relations, merchandise and water sales, and much more. Jazz House Kids relies on the continued commitment of volunteers like you to continue to produce events such as the 2016 Montclair Jazz Festival.

How to Volunteer

All 2016 volunteers, new and returning, are required to register with Shiftboard, our new on-line scheduler, at https://www.shiftboard.com/jazzhousekids/register.html. This registration will help us make the most of your time and skills and ensure that your volunteer hours are fulfilling and fun. Once your registration is processed, you will receive a welcome e-mail from us (check your bulk/spam/junk folder if you don't see it right away) that will include your new password. You can then access your account to join teams, view our calendar, and pick up shifts. To see available shifts, click on Calendar and view by date (August 12-13, 2016).

Once registered, you can access the Montclair Jazz Festival volunteer calendar on your computer anytime at www.shiftboard.com/jazzhousekids or download the Shiftboard app (available on Google Play and Apple App Store) to take it with you on the go. Shiftboard also allows you to load your volunteer shifts into your personal calendar (Google, Outlook, iCal, etc).

Volunteer Orientation Meetings have been scheduled for August 3rd and 10th, 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Community Room of the Montclair Salvation Army. We are requesting that all volunteers attend one (1) of these meetings. You can RSVP by signing into Shiftboard, click on Calendar and view by the date you would like to attend.
