In Montclair: Juveniles Swipe Handicap Scooter On Bloomfield Avenue, Police Say

Montclair police are looking for two young female suspects, ages 12 to 14.

Montclair police are searching for two juvenile females who allegedly stole a handicapped scooter from a victim on Bloomfield Avenue last week.

According to Montclair Detective Sgt. James Milano, the victim momentarily walked away from the scooter and when they went back to it, the vehicle was gone.

A witness on the scene reported seeing two females around 12 to 14-years-old take the scooter.

There was no confrontation and there were no injuries during the encounter, Milano said.

Police described the scooter as blue with the number “48” displayed on the back, valued at $500.
