Montclair Local Talent to Star in The Secret Garden

Bobby Axelrod, of Montclair, will star as Dickon in Hexagon Players' "The Secret Garden." With spectacular Asian-inspired choreography, amazing stage illusions, fanciful puppetry, dazzling period costumes, and a staging that is both hauntingly suspenseful and whimsically magical; this is one family-friendly production that is sure to leave an indelible imprint on all who experience it. Performances from November 11 through November 19 for a limited 7-show engagement at Grace Lutheran Church, 65 Main Street, Mendham.

Using 4-D Audience Immersion Technology developed exclusively for Hexagon Players, journey with Mary Lennox to the Moors of England in a multi-sensory experience like nothing you've ever seen, heard, smelled, or felt before! This hauntingly, magical production, based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s children’s book, music by Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, and directed by Patrick Frances Mahn, with Musical Direction by Darlene Yannetta.

Bobby is an eighth grader at Glenfield Middle School in Montclair, and has studied musical theater at school, at Paper Mill Playhouse, and at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Favorite past roles include Jack in Into the Woods, Chip in On the Town, Billy in Anything Goes, Hugo in Bye Bye Birdie, and a workhouse boy in Paper Mill Playhouse’s production of Oliver!
