Montclair Man Carjacked On Orange Road: Police

The Montclair motorist told police that two men carjacked his Nissan Pathfinder near Orange and Llewelyn Roads.

Montclair, NJ - A Montclair man reported that he was carjacked on Orange Road on Sunday, according to authorities.

Montclair police stated that the 40-year-old man told officers he was driving his 2007 Nissan Pathfinder on Orange Road near Llewelyn Road when a dark-colored vehicle bumped him from behind.

The motorist told police that when he stopped his car to examine the damage, two males in black-hooded sweatshirts – which covered their faces – approached his vehicle.

One of the suspected carjackers allegedly stuck a “hard item” into the man’s side and demanded that he surrender his vehicle, police said.

The suspects then fled with both vehicles southbound on Orange Road, police stated.

No injuries were reported in the incident, authorities said.
