Montclair Man Robbed In Panera Bread Parking Lot: Police
The 29-year-old victim told officers he'd arranged to meet with an internet seller to buy an iPhone, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A Montclair resident was allegedly robbed in the Panera Bread parking lot on Sunday while attempting to buy an iPhone from a seller he met on the internet, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the 29-year-old victim told officers that he’d arranged to meet with an internet seller to buy an iPhone at the Panera Bread lot on Bloomfield Avenue.
When the man arrived in a car at the parking lot, the seller entered the passenger side of the vehicle and brandished a handgun, police said.

The seller then took about $3,600 in cash from the victim and fled the scene in a “newer model” black vehicle. Police described him as an African-American male in his mid-30’s with a thin build.
There were no injuries reported during the encounter. The incident is under investigation, police said.
