Montclair Man Seriously Hurt In Hit-And-Run In East Orange: Prosecutor
A pedestrian from Montclair was seriously injured when a car stuck him during a hit-and-run in East Orange, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A pedestrian from Montclair was seriously injured when a car stuck him during a hit-and-run in East Orange on Sunday, authorities said.
A car struck the victim, a 40-year-old Montclair resident, at 1:23 a.m. on the 400-block of Central Avenue in East Orange, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The pedestrian was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he is being treated for “serious bodily injuries,” prosecutors said.

No arrests have been made as of Monday, authorities said.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, along with the East Orange Police Department, is investigating the hit-and-run. Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tips line at 1-877-TIPS-4EC or 1-877-847-7432.
