Montclair Memorial Day Ceremony Will Take Place At Edgemont Park
Montclair will hold its annual Memorial Day tribute on May 30. Town offices will be closed; trash/recycling will be suspended.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair will hold its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 30.
According to a municipal news release, the tribute will take place at 10 a.m. at Edgemont Memorial Park.
Representatives from veterans organizations which include the Crawford Crews American Legion Post 251, Lt. Vincent J. Russo American Legion Post 382, Disabled American Veterans, Daughters of the American Revolution Eagle Rock Chapter, as well as members of the Montclair Red Cross, will attend the event.

Mayor Sean Spiller will serve as master of ceremonies. The Montclair Community Band will perform immediately prior to and after the ceremony. The Police Honor Guard will open the program with the advance of colors, and will conclude the ceremony with the retirement of colors.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be canceled. A video tribute will air on TV34, officials noted.

Municipal offices in Montclair will be closed Monday, May 30 for the Memorial Day holiday.
Refuse and recycling services are suspended, officials said.
