Montclair Musicians Lead Jam At ‘Memory Café’ In Morris Plains

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Members of the Montclair Early Music group recently led a jam session with recorders and sing alongs for people with Alzheimer’s disease in Morris Plains.

On April 18, players with Montclair Early Music attended a monthly “Memory Café” event at the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains.

“It was great to see people singing along and clapping to the songs,” said the group’s leader, Julienne Pape.

Memory Cafés offer a safe, comfortable environment – free of judgement – and are a time for socialization and networking for people who might otherwise be restricted and isolated from contact with others including family and friends.
