Montclair To Open Cooling Centers As Forecasts Call For Heat Wave
Montclair is opening cooling centers as weather forecasters predict a heat wave in New Jersey.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair is opening cooling centers in the township as weather forecasters predict a heat wave in New Jersey.
On Wednesday, town officials announced that due to the excessive heat forecast for the next several days, several facilities will be open as cooling centers through Friday for those who seek relief from the heat.

- The Township Municipal Building, 205 Claremont Avenue, will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- The Montclair Public Library main branch, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, will be open during the hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- The Montclair Public Library Bellevue Avenue branch, 185 Bellevue Avenue, will be open on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
