Montclair To Open Cooling Centers; Heat Wave In Weather Forecast
Seeking relief from the heat in Montclair? Air conditioner not working? Here's where to go on Friday and Saturday, officials say.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Public Library and the town municipal building will be open to the public as cooling centers on Friday and Saturday, officials say.
The National Weather Service is forecasting “high heat and humidity” through Saturday, and has issued a heat advisory in the North Jersey and New York City area through Saturday evening. In addition, thunderstorms are possible that day, forecasters said.
In Montclair, the following buildings will be open as cooling centers:

- 205 Claremont Avenue
- Friday, July 28 – open until 4:30 PM
- Closed Saturday
Montclair Public Library Main Branch
