Montclair PD: Cars Stolen On Bloomfield Ave., Lackawanna Plaza

Montclair PD: Two cars were stolen on Bloomfield Avenue. A trailer with a Corvette inside was stolen from a parking lot in Lackawanna Plaza.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair recently saw three stolen vehicles in three days. The thefts took place on Bloomfield Avenue and at Lackawanna Plaza, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were reported in the township:

  • Jan. 31 (Bloomfield Avenue) - A 2019 Lexus RX was stolen from the parking lot of a Bloomfield Avenue business. The vehicle was left unattended and running. It was later recovered in Newark.
  • Feb. 1 (Bloomfield Avenue) - A 2016 Ford Explorer was stolen from the parking lot of a Bloomfield Avenue business. The vehicle was unattended and left running. It was recovered in Newark.
  • Feb. 2 (Lackawanna Plaza) - A trailer containing a 1977 Corvette was stolen from a Lackawanna Plaza parking lot. Surveillance video shows a white van back up to the trailer, attach it, and drive off towards Glenridge Avenue.
