Montclair Pizzeria Shuts Down – But It Will Return, Owner Says

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A well-known restaurant in Montclair will be closing for the rest of the year. But don’t worry – Bivio Pizza Napoletana will return, its owner says.

Tomasso Colao recently announced that the pizzeria will close so he can focus on recovering from health issues. He explained more in a social media post:

“I want to thank you for reaching out and expressing your concerns. This is to inform you on the status of Bivio Pizza Napoletana. Due to health issues Bivio will close through the end of the year so that I can focus on my recovery and wellbeing. We appreciate you respecting our privacy and will keep everyone updated. Needless to say, we will miss all of you and the pleasure of offering our pizza Napoletana to our guests/ friends. In early October we installed our beautiful new oven from Napoli. We are very excited to fire up and to see you again. Have a wonderful holiday season! Ci vediamo e auguroni!”
