Montclair Police: Attempted Schoolgirl Luring Reported On Hilltop Place and Pleasant Avenue
A man allegedly approached a 12-year-old girl and asked her if she wanted a ride to school, Montclair police say.
Montclair, NJ - A young girl may have been the subject of an attempted luring encounter last week, Montclair police stated.
The incident allegedly took place on Dec. 2 at Pleasant Avenue and Hilltop Place as the 12-year-old was walking to school, police said.
According to police, a black male in his late 30s wearing a black hat allegedly approached the girl in an older model green vehicle.

The suspect allegedly asked the girl if she wanted a ride to school and inquired about her personal information, police said.
