Montclair Police Charge 2 Teens Accused Of Fleeing From Car Crash
After the crash, three people fled from a vehicle, which was discovered to be stolen from Bloomfield, Montclair police said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police charged a pair of teens with receiving stolen property after they allegedly fled the scene of a car crash last week, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, patrol units were dispatched to the area of Tremont Avenue and Cambridge Road on Oct. 17 after receiving a report about a motor vehicle accident.
After the crash, three people fled from one of the involved vehicles, which was discovered to be stolen from Bloomfield, police said.

After an “extensive” search, police identified a pair of 16-year-old Montclair residents as two of the suspects who fled the crash, authorities said.
Police charged each teen with receiving stolen property and released them to family members.
