Montclair Police Honor Guard Stands Tall For Township

The Montclair Police Department Honor Guard Unit has attended funerals, marched in local parades and held flags high at a Blue Mass.

The unit – which is charged with performing at ceremonial rites and observances – typically operates at public functions such as parades, holiday observances, funerals, public dedications, burials of public officials and public exhibitions.

Recently, the MPD Honor Guard Unit has been present for the funeral of a Fort Myers police officer, marched in the township’s 4th of July and African-American Heritage Day parades, attended a 100 Club Dinner to honor valorous officers and paid respect to fallen law enforcement officers at a “Blue Mass” in 2017.
