Montclair Police Keep Racking Up Drug Overdose Saves
Montclair police officers have made another overdose-related save using Naloxone, authorities say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police officers have made yet another overdose-related save using Naloxone, otherwise known by its brand name of Narcan, officials say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the latest incident began when an officer patrolling Bloomfield Avenue on May 18 saw a “male in distress” lying on the sidewalk.
After determining that the 42-year-old man was suffering from an apparent opioid overdose, officers administered Naloxone to the victim, successfully reviving him, authorities said.

Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
