Montclair Police: Penske Rental Truck, ‘Unattended’ BMW Stolen
A Penske rental truck was reported stolen from a Claremont Avenue business and two cars were stolen from driveways, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair recently saw three stolen vehicles in a week, including a Penske rental truck, an “unattended” BMW and a 2012 Nissan Sentra, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the following thefts were reported in the township:
- Dec. 14 - (Claremont Avenue) – “A Penske rental truck was reported stolen from a Claremont Avenue business. The vehicle was recovered December 18, 2018 parked in Newark.”
- Dec. 21 - (Hilltop Place) – “Theft of a 2013 BMW 535 from a residential driveway. This vehicle had been left running and unattended.”
- Dec. 24 - (Maple Avenue) – “Theft of a 2012 Nissan Sentra from the driveway of a home.”
