Montclair Pop Warner Players, Cheerleaders Make National All-Academic Team
Montclair's five National Pop Warner All-Academic champions for 2015 hail from Watchung, Mt. Hebron and Glenfield schools.

Montclair, NJ – Montclair officially has five National Pop Warner All-Academic champions for 2015.
According to a township news release, five members of the Montclair Recreation/Pop Warner Cheerleading and Football Program were selected to the National Pop Warner All-Academic team.
The youth athlete-scholars maintained a 96 percent GPA in the classroom last school year, town officials stated.

The nominated players were fifth grader William Hoffman (Watchung school), sixth graders Gavin Gammon and Ryan Phariss (Mt. Hebron), seventh graders Stephanie Webb and Ya’Nae Brown (Glenfield).
According to a town news release, Brown and Webb are cheerleaders for the Bulldogs, who helped lead the Midget Cheerleading and Dance team to two first-place finishes in the Pop Warner Garden State and North Jersey League Competitions.

On the football side, Hoffman, Gammon and Phariss were main contributors on the Junior Pee Wee and Pee Wee levels, town officials stated.
All recipients have been invited to receive their awards at the 56th Annual All-American Scholar Banquet, taking place on Friday, May 27, and Saturday, May 28, at the Disney Yacht club in Orlando, Florida.
Registration for the Montclair Recreation/Pop Warner Cheerleading and Football 2016 season begins on Monday, May 2. To register, visit the Bulldog website here, or register in-person at the Montclair Recreation office at 205 Claremont Avenue.
