Montclair Preps For Bad Weather; No Parking On Snowy Streets
Montclair preps for possible snow and ice on Feb. 12. Read town officials' message for residents here.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy has declared a state of emergency as weather forecasters call for possible snow, ice and freezing cold on Tuesday, Feb. 12, and Montclair officials are taking note.
Montclair town officials issued the following advisory at 6 p.m. on Feb. 11:
"The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area, beginning 5:00 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12, and continuing through early Wednesday morning, with two to five inches of snow accumulations. Residents are reminded that parking on snow-covered streets is prohibited by ordinance 327-25. The no parking prohibition remains in effect for a period of 12 hours after snowfall has stopped in order to facilitate snow removal operations. Police will be ticketing and towing vehicles parked on streets during this period."
The @NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area, with 2 to 5 inches of snow accumulations. Reminder: no parking on snow-covered streets (ordinance 327-25). @MontcliarPD will be ticketing and towing vehicles parked on the streets during this period.
