Montclair Recreation Pool Season Registration Launches Wednesday

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of Montclair Township. Learn more about posting announcements or events to your local Patch site.

Registration for Summer Fun and Montclair pool memberships will begin on Wednesday, May 11 at 10 a.m. Due to construction activity at Nishuane and Essex parks, the following is the new information for the 2022 season.

Summer FUN Activities will be held at Edgemont School (20 Edgemont Road, Montclair). The program is offered for children ages 5 -12 (must be 5 at the start of the session) and will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be five sessions offered:

• Session 1 – July 5 – July 8 $120 (4 days)
• Session 2 – July 11 – July 15 $150
• Session 3 – July 18 – July 22 $150
• Session 4 – July 25 – July 29
• Session 5 – August 1 – August 5

Participants will enjoy arts and crafts, sports, dance, games, and group activities. Anyone needing to submit financial assistance paperwork should call 973-509-4915 before registering.

Montclair Pools

Due to the scope of construction at Essex and Nishuane Parks, Mountainside Pool will open on Saturday, May 28 and operate on weekends until June 28. Pool hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On June 29, we anticipate to open Nishuane and Essex Pools depending on the completion of the construction surrounding the pool areas. We will be providing updated information about the construction work.

Pool Fees:

• $250 Family (2 Adults and 2+ children or a single parent with 3+ children)
• $85 Adult
• $60 Child/Youth
• $25 Senior
• $85 Caregiver (must be purchased with a pool membership)

Daily passes/guests will not be permitted at the pool. All persons must be Montclair resident pool members.

Register at www.Communitypass.net/Montclair Proof of residency is required for registration.

Montclair Recreation & Cultural Affairs will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will be open until 8 p.m. on May 17, June 13 and June 21 for pool pass pick up. Proof of residency is required for pool passes.
