MONTCLAIR, NJ — A dispute between neighbors turned violent in Montclair last weekend, with one of them reporting that he was “sucker-punched” during the incident, police said.

The Montclair Police Department released the following statement about the alleged assault, which took place on Mission Street on Saturday:

“The victim reported a dispute occurred between he and his neighbor that turned physical. The victim reported that he was sucker-punched by his neighbor. Montclair EMS arrived on scene and treated the victim for facial injuries, which consisted of lacerations and extreme swelling.”
