Montclair Resident Arrives Home To Find Burglar: Police
At the time, the victim thought the intruder was a hired construction worker scheduled to be at her home, Montclair police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — She only saw his pants and boots, police say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, a resident reported a burglary on Plymouth Street on Nov. 18, telling police that she lost a laptop computer and iPod to a man who illegally entered her home.
The victim told officers that she returned home to catch a glimpse of a man walking up the stairs to the second floor. She only saw his lower torso, including his tan pants and work boots, police said.

At the time, the victim thought the intruder was a hired construction worker scheduled to be at the home. But it wasn’t long before she realized this wasn’t the case and called police.
By the time officers arrived, the intruder had already left through the front door, police said. No additional information was immediately available.
