Sept. 17 (Upper Mountain Avenue) - A resident reported that she was woken up by several phone calls from her wife, who was away, alerting her about several people on their property seen through surveillance video. The video shows four suspects approach the side door of the residence on the north side of the home. One suspect – who is wearing a hooded sweatshirt with an Adidas logo – opened the screen door. The suspects fled west on the driveway after they apparently noticed a camera on the premises; they didn’t gain entry to the home, police said.

Sept. 19 (Bloomfield Avenue) - Officers responded to Kai Yang Restaurant for a report of a burglary. The owner said that on Sunday morning at 2:08 a.m. she received an alert on her phone from ADT security. The owner stated that she did not see anything on her phone to cause alarm. When she arrived at work on Monday, she discovered that someone broke into the restaurant through the rear door, which was left unlocked. About $50 was stolen from the cash register, police said.
