Montclair Restaurant Week Kicks Off Saturday

Get ready to start making excuses for your sudden weight gain, Montclair.

The 2015 Montclair Restaurant Week will take place from Saturday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 27, and will feature prix fixe menus and dining specials from several local restaurants.

According to a release, the nine-day event is the Rotary Club’s thank you to the restaurants, food crafters and businesses that support Taste of Montclair, the club’s annual March culinary event.

“This is our chance to celebrate the community” said Taste of Montclair Chair John Lee.

“People coming together to support one another for the benefit of all concerned is what Rotary is all about,” agreed Montclair Rotary Club Membership Chair Sandra Soehngen.

“For Montclair Restaurant Week 2015, we tapped the team who made Taste of Montclair 2015 a hit to organize this season’s restaurant week.” said Rotary Club president Paul Metcalfe. “In one night last March the all-volunteer team raised over $31,000 for charity, so they were the perfect choice to make Montclair Restaurant Week a success.”
