Montclair’s HomeCorp Welcomes 2 Trustees To Kick Off New Year

Since it launch 30 years ago, HomeCorp has helped to develop nearly 200 units of affordable housing in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Since it launch 30 years ago, HomeCorp has helped to develop nearly 200 units of affordable housing in Montclair. Now, the nonprofit is setting its sights on 2021, a year which includes the addition of two new trustees.

On Jan. 1, two new trustees joined the board at HomeCorp: Deb Morrone-Collela and Carmel Loughman.

Morrone-Collela and Loughman will help guide HomeCorp on its mission to create local affordable housing and offer other services, such as a counseling department that offers first-time buyer workshops, foreclosure prevention services and post-closing ownership support.

According to a news release:

Deborah Morrone-Colella joined The Seeing Eye in 2014 where she is the Director of Donor and Public Relations. She oversees all fundraising and communications programs. Ms. Morrone-Colella previously served as Vice President of Development at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Prior to that, she was Managing Director of Changing Our World, Inc. She also has served as Executive Director of Christian Health Care Center and as Vice President of Development at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. She is a graduate of Moravian College and was a resident of Montclair for over 27 years.”

“A longtime Montclair resident, Carmel Loughman moved to town in 1988. Ms. Loughman had a successful career in risk management before taking early retirement. She worked in finance for over 35 years at a variety of large corporations including Prudential, American Smelting and Refining Company, Marsh and McLennan, Schering Plough (Merck), and L’Oreal USA. Ms. Loughman currently serves on the Montclair Planning Board. She was recently named the Communications Director for the Montclair Area League of Women Voters. Throughout her life, Ms. Loughman has served as a volunteer at her church, her son’s school, and community outreach organizations. Ms. Loughman studied classics at St. Peter’s College, graduated from New Jersey City University, and earned an MBA in finance from New York University.”
