Montclair’s Jazz House Kids Nominated For Jersey Arts Awards

A local arts nonprofit is up for awards for the Montclair Jazz Festival and the Jazz House Summer Workshop.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A Montclair arts nonprofit has been nominated for two JerseyArts People’s Choice Awards, and the community can help push it over the top.

Jazz House Kids is under consideration for a pair of 2020 awards:

  • “Favorite Music Festival” for the annual Montclair Jazz Festival (watch a video here)
  • “Favorite Performing Arts Camp” for its Jazz House Summer Workshop (watch a video here)

“These annual awards are important recognitions for Jazz House Kids,” the organization recently wrote in an email, noting that it would be the Montclair Jazz Fest’s third win, and the Summer Workshop’s second.

“Montclair is a rich cultural arts town and we ask you to help spread the word that the Montclair Jazz Festival and Jazz House Summer Workshop are among many community partners that have been nominated -- Montclair Film, Montclair Center, Montclair Art Museum, Freespace Dance, The Montclair Orchestra, The Wellmont Theater and Montclair State University. We hope people show their appreciation for all and vote.”
