Montclair's Mac Genauer Selected for NJSBCA All-Star Game

The NJ Scholastic Baseball Coaches Senior All-Star Baseball Classic Game is June 14 at 7 p.m.

Montclair High School's Mackenze Genauer will be concluding his high school baseball career on Thursday evening, June 14 at 7 p.m. when he will play in the New Jersey Scholastic Baseball Coaches Senior All-Star Baseball Classic Game to be held at Diamond Nation in Flemington.

The game features 100 players who are considered top senior players in New Jersey.

Four teams will represent four sections of the state: Northwest, Northeast, Central and South. He was selected out of over 65 nominees to represent the Northwest.

The Trinity College (Hartford, CT) bound infielder will be at third base for the game. He is a four-year Varsity player for Montclair and a team captain.

"My greatest memory from this season was definitely winning the GNT (Greater Newark Tournament)," he said. "The team made history and I will be connected to those guys forever because of it."

Genauer looks forward to continuing his playing at the next level.

"I chose Trinity College because of their great success on the baseball diamond as well as their strong academics and location," he added. "My coaches certainly offered me strong advice when deciding between schools to attend."
