Montclair School Board Picks Replacement For Late Member
The Montclair Board of Education has chosen a new member to fill the seat of Alfred Davis, who died with an unexpired term.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Board of Education has chosen a new member to fill the seat of Alfred Davis, who died last month with an unexpired term.
Four people were interviewed during a public school board meeting last week: Brian Fleischer, Mfreke (Monk) Inyang, Aminah Toler and Richard Reynics.
The board eventually appointed Inyang to fill Davis’ post.

Inyang, a father of two children in the district, has served as vice president and president of the PTA at Charles H. Bullock School.
The seat will be up for election in the fall of 2022; Inyang will serve until January 2023, and can also run for election.
