Montclair Schools To Hold Community Forum About Board Of Education Elections, Duties

Want to learn how to run for the Montclair Board of Education? Curious about how your local school board works? Learn more at this workshop.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Board of Education will host a “community engagement forum” for residents who want to run for a seat in the future – or just want to learn more about how the board works.

The public event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15 at the Watchung School auditorium, 14 Garden Street.

“This forum is an opportunity for community members to come together to discuss how we can continue strengthening the work of the board of education and build a model of service, collaboration, and effective governance that reflects the values of our community. Whether you are interested in running for the Board of Education this November or in the future, curious about how the board operates, or simply interested in engaging in meaningful conversation about our schools, we encourage you to attend.”

The event is open to all Montclair residents. Community members can also submit questions in advance online here.
