In Montclair: Smashed Statue / Stolen Rental Truck Found / Keyed Chrysler / Package Thefts
Police Blotter: Sept. 1 to 5

Editor’s Note: The following incidents are reprinted directly from the Montclair police blotter, a listing of selected incidents that may not include the full scope of activity in the area. All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
9-1-2015 (Claremont Avenue) - Vandalism to a vehicle. A black Chrysler 300 was keyed on all four doors.

9-2-2015 (Watchung Train Station) - Theft of a bicycle, which had been locked to the train station wall. The bicycle and lock were taken.
9-2-2015 (Pine Street) - A Penske rental truck, which had previously been reported stolen, was discovered parked on Pine Street, unoccupied.

9-3-2015 (Pine Street) - Kasiem Davis, 40yoa from Newark, was arrested on open warrants out of Scotch Plains ($917), South Carolina (No Bail) and Maryland (No Bail).
9-4-2015 (Lorraine Avenue) - Three delivered packages were stolen from the front porch of a residence.
9-5-2015 (Sherman Street) - Theft of delivered packages from a front porch. The package contained electronics.
9-5-2015 (South Mountain) - A stature was taken from the front of a residence and smashed on the slate steps leading to the front entrance. Both the statue and the steps were damaged.
