Montclair Snow Totals: 10 to 12 Inches With More Likely, OEM Says

Montclair, NJ – So far, there’s been almost a foot of snow in Montclair.

On Saturday afternoon, the Montclair Office of Emergency Management reported that heavy bands of snow produced 2 to 3 inch accumulations per hour.

“As of 10 a.m. the area has seen 10” to 12” accumulations with additional heavy snow continuing through the area for much of the day with 1” to 2” per hour accumulations likely, leading to another foot of snow or more,” the Montclair OEM stated. “Snow totals are likely to reach 20 to 28 inches.”

The storm brings wind gusts of 40to 55 mph, and blizzard conditions could result in drifts of 5’ to 10’ or more, the Montclair OEM stated.

The heaviest snow is likely to come around sunset on Saturday, and snowfall is anticipated to end just after midnight, the OEM added.
