Join Newark’s Bethany Baptist, a historic Black church, and Bnai Keshet, a synagogue Reconstructing Judaism in Montclair, for a joint BBQ on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. behind Bnai Keshet at 99 South Fullerton Avenue. The two congregations are deepening their partnership in conjunction with the interfaith organization New Jersey Together on Essex County-wide issues.

Over several months, representatives from Bethany Baptist and Bnai Keshet have met with Essex County clergy and lay leaders from a wide range of churches, synagogues, and other county religious institutions through NJ Together. Bnai Keshet Rabbi Ariann Weitzman and Bethany Baptist’s Rev. Dr. Timothy Adkins-Jones held joint listening sessions in March as part of this campaign.
