Montclair Synagogue Will Offer Free Tuition For Members’ Young Kids
Bnai Keshet in Montclair will offer free tuition for its Bet Midrash for all member families with children in kindergarten to second grade.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Bnai Keshet in Montclair recently announced it will be offering free tuition for its Bet Midrash (religious school) for all member families with children in kindergarten through second grade beginning in the fall of 2023.
According to a news release from the synagogue, moving to free tuition is part of Bnai Keshet’s “commitment to welcoming the broadest spectrum of Jewish families and to removing financial barriers to Jewish belonging and learning.”
“We recognize that tuition costs may be a barrier for families with young children, but Jewish identity-building in the context of synagogue life should not wait, said Rabbi Educator Ariann Weitzman, who leads the synagogue’s educational programs.
