Montclair Takes A Trip Down The Styx: Wellmont Concert, March 16
2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Styx's album, "The Grand Illusion." Pay tribute at a show at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Get ready to rock along with Styx's Dennis DeYoung in Montclair.
Founding member and lead singer, Dennis DeYoung, will perform the entire “The Grand Illusion” album at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair on Friday, March 16, 2018. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Styx’s best-selling record.
"I formulated the theme behind the Grand Illusion album after observing how American culture creates illusions through advertising and entertainment to convince us that our lives our lacking, in order to sell products," DeYoung said. "I told the audience that we were part of the Illusion and warned them not to be 'fooled by the radio,' which was us, and that in the end, despite the illusions and hype created, that 'deep inside we’re all the same.'"
