Montclair Teen Artist COLO Releases Debut EP The Image

Seventeen-year-old New Jersey artist COLO has released his debut EP, “The Image”, a milestone project that captures the sound, style and creative identity he has been developing since beginning his journey as a recording artist.

Based in the Montclair area, COLO is part of a new generation of young artists building their careers independently while connecting music, fashion and visual identity. Blending elements of hip-hop and pop, his music reflects the perspective of a teenager finding his voice while developing a distinctive presence of his own.

The Image is COLO’s first complete EP and represents an important step forward from the individual singles he has released over the past year. The project gives listeners a broader introduction to who COLO is as an artist—not only through his music, but through the confidence, individuality and style behind it.

“The Image” is really about showing people who I am as an artist,” says COLO. “I’ve grown a lot since I started making music, and I wanted my first EP to feel like a real introduction to me and where I’m headed.”

At just 17, COLO has been steadily developing his catalog, performing and building an audience while balancing music with life as a teenager in the Montclair community. Previous releases have included songs such as “GO,” “Ride With Me,” “9TO5,” “Snowin” and “Fashion Killa.”

The title “The Image” also reflects an important part of COLO’s artistic philosophy. For him, image goes beyond appearance—it encompasses the music, fashion, confidence and individuality that together tell the story of an artist.

The release of The Image marks the beginning of the next phase of COLO’s career, with new music, visuals and performances planned as he continues building his audience in New Jersey, New York and beyond.
