Montclair Thefts Reported: Cigars, Baby Monitor, Basketball Net

Montclair residents/businesses reported several thefts, including a car's sideview mirror, a basketball backboard and pet meds, police said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair residents and businesses reported several thefts last week, including a baby monitor, cigars, a bike, a car’s sideview mirror, a basketball backboard and pet medication, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township.

  • June 4 - (Forest Street) - Theft of the contents of a delivered package. This package contained a baby monitor.
  • June 5 - (Orange Road) - Theft of a bicycle from a garden shed. The shed door was pried open to gain access.
  • June 5 - (Glenfield School) - Theft of an unattended cellular telephone from the area of the gymnasium.
  • June 7 - (Plymouth Street) - Theft of a laptop from an office suite.
  • June 8 - (North Fullerton Avenue) - Theft of the sideview mirror of a parked motor vehicle.
  • June 8 - (Quick Chek) - A 14yoa Montclair male was arrested for shoplifting a box of cigars.
  • June 9 - (S. Mountain Avenue) - Theft of a basketball backboard and net from a residential driveway.
  • June 10 - (N. Mountain Avenue) - Theft of a package containing pet medication.
